For boating enthusiasts who like many are also affected by increasing fuel costs, it is increasingly being recognised, that an extra 10 – 15 minutes in the car to a destination like Calypso Bay more than makes up for the time plus diesel or petrol that would be used in cruising for up to an hour just to get to the top end of the Broadwater.
From Calypso Bay, Tipplers and the Bedrooms are a mere 15 – 20 minutes boat ride away and the joys and sights of Canaipa passage, Tiger Mullet and Moreton Bay can be reached in 20 – 40 minutes.
With increasing numbers of boat enthusiasts, especially from Brisbane choosing to moor their boats at the Calypso Bay Marina and take advantage of its great facilities and direct bridge free access to the Broadwater, the number of free berths is diminishing quickly. If you are one of those keen boaties that likes to get out on the water at every opportunity, and want good safe mooring with close access to all the islands and channels within Moreton Bay and the Broadwater then contact the Calypso Bay Marina Manger to see what berths are still available.
